Sometimes, those of us who are trying to walk a spiritual path haven’t had a new idea or a new experience in years. Like an adult who still reads nothing but children’s books, we’re stuck in a very limited concept of who God is, who we are, and what Life is calling us to be.
Meister Eckhart, the medieval theologian and philosopher wrote:
If the only prayer you ever say in your entire life is ‘Thank you,’ it would be enough.
In recent years a saying has been making the rounds: It’s all good. I have no idea where this got started, and I’m not sure that I believe it. I can think of plenty of things that, in my opinion, are not good.
